If your like me and take your cheese eating seriously then you'd know this is the cheapest and highest quality Mexican food north of the border. Amazing staff and even better Queso and chips. Cooked fresh everytime.

The food here is great, the owners are so sweet and the wait staff friendly. The only one thing they need is better ventilation inside. Always have to put our clothes outside or it smells up the room it's sitting in.

I got the chili relleno chicken taco beef enchilada tamale with chili sauce and Mexican Coke everything was very good chile relleno was nice and cheesy very good sauce chicken taco had lots of flavor and juicy enchilada with seasoned very well tamale was good also the milk cost me 1495

Food was mediocre at best. Nothing special, pretty generic Mexican food. And they over charged us for something they told us was included. Which turned what tasted like and should of been a 30 dollar meal into a 50 dollar meal. Will avoid this place like the plague in the future.

Had the beef Chimichanga...it was the bomb dot com. I Will be going back.

Fabulous food in a very nice setting. Waiters and waitresses are very friendly, portions are large, and prices are fair. It doesn't get better than this.

They have a good environment the workers have a good vibe are honest respectful the food is excellent and over all the the restaurant is good my to go place if your hungry.

Best Mexican food in town. Highway 14 location is better than other El Tapatio locations in my opinion. Great food at a great price. Friendly service, excellent casual food experience. Fajitas are superb.

The staff are really nice. The food was delicious.💖 The portioning food is huge. Well for us. Definitely need to bring your appetite when you come in. We will be back here when we return for a visit. If you are visiting this area and looking for great Mexican food. Try this place out. You may just love it like we did. Parking is a bit smaller then We are used to but we come from a city that every business has a plethora of parking. 😁. Oh and I forgot to mention. We are EXTREMELY PARTICULAR about aunthentic mexican food. So this place has our 👍👍..

The food was pretty good, margarita good and strong but they allowed someone to come in the restaurant while we were eating and they and sell us stuff. This man went around to every table and the owners allowed it. Not going back.

I got the fajitas. They were amazing. I could have used more sour cream, because I am american and like sour cream on my food. Also ordered some of the white cheese dip, which was really good. All in all I will go again.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Lake Charles...always delicious.

Came in and the service off the bat was pretty bad. The waitresses there were more concerned about being chonas(gossiping) than tending their tables. The food was not prepared how it was supposed to be, my tortillas didn’t get to me until I was gone eating so I refused them. Definitely going to avoid this one at all costs. I’d recommend going to tapatio #2 further up on 14. MUCH BETTER!

The food and the service was wonderful

The service is pretty good. But, the food lacks something. The queso is bland. The salsa is really good. Chips are really thick and hard. I had shrimp enchiladas. It was nothing but two corn tortillas with 5 shrimp each, covered in sauce. The red sauce, from a can. No cheese or anything inside but the shrimp. Shrimp were not cleaned on mine or my husband's meal (he had shrimp quesadilla) . Beans are runny and flavorless, rice is dry and bland. Definitely won't be back.

We eat a LOT of Mexican food and so glad my parents found this gem! They don't like food chains much so they tried this mom and pop owned and run by family and friends who are the nicest people around! Tons of food for amazing price and EXTREMELY tasty! Normally get the chicken or beef fajitas and DEFINITELY ask if the have anymore flan for dessert or to go as you will be VERY glad you did!

Well I ordered a taco salad and got fajitas and I told her I am allergic to bell pepper and there was a small price in my plate and she said, but so little and did not offer my taco salad.

Omg, i ordered the grilled steak and chicken enchiladas. They were heavenly. The beans and rice were just as delicious! The waiter was very nice and always refilling drinks, chips. I highly recommend this place :)

I love this place. I went yesterday and today! I get their shrimp chimichanga everytime. It's so good!

Reasonable prices. Good service. Good food. It's was pretty warm inside. I felt like I was a line cook in the hot kitchen. That's my only complaint.

Food is not authentic Mexican food, if you are passing through like we were please reconsider going elsewhere. Food was also cold and tasteless, ground beef needed better seasoning, and the fajita was salty.

Real authentic Mexican food! Everything was delicious and the cost was very good. Service was fantastic and it was clean. Highly recommend this place as it is a new favorite when I come to town.
